Massage Therapy

Enhance Your Wellbeing

Enrich the Quality of Your Life

Through the Power of Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is a proven scientific treatment in which tense muscle tissue is relaxed and released. At ease muscle tissue leads to decreased nerve compression, increased joint space, and improved range of motion, thereby reducing pain and improving function.

While Massage Therapy improves circulation, it also enhances the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to muscle cells and assists in the elimination of waste products. These circulatory effects of massage have value in the treatment of numerous inflammatory and nerve conditions, such as arthritis or edema (an excessive accumulation of fluid in body tissues; may be reduced using manual lymph drainage massage techniques), and fibromyalgia.

Massage Therapy is also induces a relaxation response, which lowers the heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure: boosting the immune system and generally decreasing the physical effects of stress and trauma.

Learn more about our customizable Massage techniques:

Swedish Massage
Swedish massage, known as the most common therapy, is a gentle full-body massage that is ideal for those who are new to massage therapy, have a significant amount of tension and stress, or may be sensitive to touch. Swedish massage allows the release of chronic muscular knots, while promoting a wonderful option for a completely relaxing experience.

The massage therapist may use a combination of techniques including:

  • kneading
  • long, flowing strokes in the direction of the heart
  • deep circular motions
  • vibration & tapping
  • passive joint movement techniques.

For this massage, you may remove your clothing, though you may choose to keep your undergarments on. During a session, you will be covered with a sheet while lying on the massage table. Your Massage Therapist will move the sheet to uncover areas that they are actively working on.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue massage is a type of therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. This massage is especially helpful for those who suffer from chronic muscle aches, muscle tension, soreness, and contracted areas, and even fibromyalgia.

During your deep tissue massage, your massage therapist will use slow strokes and deep finger pressure to relieve tension and pain from the deepest layers of your muscles and fascia (connective tissue surrounding the muscles). While deep tissue may be more intense, you should not feel pain or soreness, however, open communication with your therapist is paramount to receiving the best massage suitable for your needs.

For this massage, you may remove your clothing, though you may choose to keep your undergarments on. During a session, you will be covered with a sheet while lying on the massage table. Your massage therapist will move the sheet to uncover areas that they are actively working on.

Sports Massage

A sports massage may be done as a full-body massage or the massage therapist may focus on the parts of the body that need the most attention. You may wear lightweight clothing (i.e. loose shorts and a tank top) for the massage or be fully or partially undressed. If you prefer to wear clothing, ensure that the clothing is thin, loose, and allows the therapist access to your muscles.

Myofascial Trigger point massage
Trigger point massage is best suited for individuals who have injuries, chronic pain, or a specific issue or condition. Areas of tightness in the muscle tissue, known as trigger points, can often cause pain in other parts of the body. By focusing on relieving trigger points Myofascial massage may significantly reduce pain.

Trigger point massage uses broad and flowing strokes that are gentle and relaxing combined with stronger, deeper pressure. The massage includes work on your entire body, though your therapist will focus on specific areas of your body that need to be released.
