FAQs about Flotation Therapy 

Who can float? 
Anyone can experience benefits from floatation therapy. It is safe for all adults, including pregnant women, however we recommend consulting a physician if you suffer from a medical condition, or have personal concerns about your medical safety while floating. ​
Why should I use flotation therapy?

What to expect?
A completely relaxed experience in your private mediation oasis.  Each suite is equipped with a overhead rain shower directly in front of the entrance to our state-of-the-art Floatation room. We will provide you will all that you need (please visit check our amenities list above).

What do I need to wear?
Swimsuit attire or birthday suit. Entirely up to you. 
what if I don't know how to float
Because of the salinity of the water in the pods, it is impossible not to float. The saltwater creates buoyancy, so you will not sink. Your face remains out of the water the entire time.

are the float rooms sanitary 
The sanitation of our Float rooms is maintained in multiple ways. The large concentration of salt in the water keeps all forms of life from growing (including bacterium and other microbes). Further, the entire tank is sterilized with Bromine (required & enforced by the Health Department) circulating throughout the Float room's Vortex Filtration System. Additionally an automatic dosing of UV, ozone and Hydrogen Peroxide before & after each session for.  ​  
what if I am claustrophobic?
Our Float rooms are spacious and allows for individuals to fully stretch out. In fact our rooms are large enough to fit two adults. Our private Float rooms have a clear see through door which allows the space to feel open.  Feel free to come by for a tour or click here to view pictures. 
can the float room run out of air?
Although our Float rooms are soundproof and lightproof, we have a ventilation system so air circulation is maintained. ​
iS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD DO TO PREPARE?
​Don’t drink coffee for several hours beforehand (it can make your system jittery). Also, don’t shave or wax as the salt water may irritate your skin. Eating a light meal approximately 60 to 90 minutes ahead of session will stop your stomach from sounding like an angry monster while you float. Other than that, there’s no specific preparation
who uses cryotherapy?
 Cryotherapy is ideal for everyone, including athletes seeking muscle recovery, people with chronic pain and inflammatory conditions, and those seeking weight loss and skin rejuvenation. Cryotherapy can also be used post-surgically to accelerate the healing process and reduce pain without the side effects of pain medications and anti-inflammatory drugs. is Cryotherapy safe?
Yes, Cryotherapy has been utilized in Europe for over 30 years without any major adverse reactions. All of our staff members are well trained and versed in all our services. 

is the nitrogen used dangerous to my health?
Nitrogen is a non-toxic gas so it is perfectly safe. In fact, the air we breathe is made up of 78% Nitrogen. Furthermore, your head remains outside the chamber reducing the amount of nitrogen inhaled.

How many Cryotherapy sessions are recommended for optimal results?
Recommendations vary depending on your condition, but we recommend a series of at least 3-5 treatments in close succession initially for optimal results. 

what do I wear inside the Cryosauna?
Just your undergarments. Males are required to wear underwear. For females, undergarments are optional. Bras can not include an underwire. We recommend the less amount of clothes as possible for the best results. We will provide a robe, gloves, socks and slippers to protect the extremities. Additionally, all jewelry must be removed before session.
will I feel any discomfort during treatment?
The Cryosauna uses gaseous nitrogen so it is dry. Most people anticipate the treatment to be worse than it actually is. In fact, a lot of people feel very invigorated during & after treatment.​

are there any activity restrictions after Full body cryo?
No restrictions. After warming up, about 5 min after your session, you are ready to go do whatever your heart desires. Recommended to do lymphatic exercise or a sauna session right after to flush out toxin but will not harm if not done.​

do I exercise before or after full body cryo ?
Yes! It is safe either way.  If you exercise before Full Body Cryo you will experience increased energy and greater recovery due to the reduction in inflammation.  If you exercise after Full Body Cryo, you will experience a higher pain tolerance and more energy.
what if I am often cold or get cold easily? 
Since the cold from Full Body Cryo only penetrates the surface of the skin, you will experience a chill to the outer surface of your body. Your vital organs, muscles and tissues will all remain at their normal body temperature. Cryotherapy improves circulation throughout the body and stimulates production of brown fat, so your future ability to tolerate cold should improve.
can I catch a cold from Full Body Cryo?
No. In terms of infectious illnesses, germs make you sick, not cold weather itself. You have to come in contact with rhinoviruses to catch a cold. And you need to be infected with influenza viruses to contract the flu. Full Body Cryo takes up to 3 minutes and doesn’t take long to warm back up like taking an Ice bath.

do I have to take a shower before or after a session?
Showering is not necessary before or after cryotherapy. The entire procedure is dry and does not make your skin wet. However, your skin MUST be dry for a Cryotherapy session.

who uses targeted area cryo? 
Everyone! At one point in your life you may have used an ice pack on a sore / injured body part. Targeted Area Cryo is very similar to using an ice pack BUT has way more benefits. For more details on benefits, check out the Cryotherapy informational page. 
what to expect? 
A session will last up to 10 minutes. Depending on the targeted area and other services you have scheduled, we will provide a robe. If the area is easily accessible, you may leave on your clothing

FAQs about Infrared Sauna

Is it safe?
Infrared heat is completely safe and all objects give off and receive infrared heat. In fact, it is so safe, hospitals use similar heaters to warm newborns. Infrared is a part of nature and essential for life.

The human body gives off and receives infrared in the far infrared band. When a mother rubs a babies stomach to relieve pain, it is the infrared heat from her hand that is causing the healing effect. 

are the saunas clean and sterile? 
Yes, Infrared light kills all bacteria and many airborne germs and fungus.  Many medical devices are sterilized using infrared light. Saunas are also sanitized after each session. Our sauna is made up of cedar wood which is naturally anti-fungal and anti-bacterial owing to the unique properties of the cedar oil. ​
What is chromotherapy?
Chromotherapy a non-invasive light therapy that heals with color. Light Therapy has been a great source of healing trough history. Color Light therapy is a technique of restoring imbalance by means of applying color to the body. Its history is rooted as far back as the Mayan culture.  Light Therapy has been valued throughout history as a remarkable source of healing. Today, the therapeutic applications of light and color are being investigated in major hospitals and research centers worldwide. Results indicate that full-spectrum, ultraviolet, colored, and laser light can have therapeutic value for a range of conditions from chronic pain and depression to immune disorders.

 Below is a list of contraindications. If you do not see an answer to your question, please contact us for more information.  We are not able to provide medical guidance to you on existing conditions you may have, and we recommend that you contact your physician if you are not sure if the treatment will interfere with your situation.

  •  Elderly individuals taking prescription medication should consult a doctor or those with

what do I need to bring?
You don’t need to bring anything, we will provide you with Organic Cotton Turkish towel to wrap yourself in. Regular Hand Towel will be available for you to dry yourself at the end of the session.

should I eat or drink before I arrive? 
For ideal results, we suggest not eating a heavy meal one hour before your sauna session. It is important to hydrate before, during and after your session.

FAQs about NormaTec

what would I use NormaTec for?
NormaTec is most commonly used to help with areas of poor circulation, whether that is from a tough workout resulting in pain and inflammation, or from an injury or post-surgical inflammation. NormaTec helps to break up the lactic acid that builds up in the muscle tissue.
how long does a session take?
Typical sessions run anywhere between 30-60 minutes. To receive the full benefits of NormaTec, we suggest using it for at least 30 minutes.

what to expect?
The process feels like a very tight squeeze that works its way up from the bottom of the sleeve to the different chambers. It actually feels very relaxing and soothing, especially to sore, tired muscles. It is not painful but can be an intense pressure, ranging from level 1 to 7.

is there a temperature change?
No, there is not. NormaTec uses compressed air, generated from the motor that is connected to the hoses.

what should I wear? 
We advise that you wear comfortable, tight-fitting clothes. The reason for this is at times the sleeves can compress fairly tight and looser fitting clothing can bunch causing an uncomfortable experience.

what areas of the body does this work? 
There are 3 different sleeve sets. One is for the arms: compression starts at the fingertips and works its way up towards the scapula. The second set is for the hips: compression starts at the mid-thigh and works its way to the lower back and abdomen. The last sleeve set is for the legs: compression starts at the toes and works its way to the top of the thigh.

what would I use NormaTec for?

contraindications? 
We recommend not using NormaTec when you have deep vein thrombosis or any severe blood clots, an open wound, stitches or a skin rash. And, the unit should never be used on the area of a broken bone or fracture that has not fully healed.

is there an age limit? 
There is no age limit to using NormaTec. The client must be able to properly fit in the sleeves without causing injury. Parental signature is required.
